Corporate Senior Tax Accountant

StaffBuffalo is working with one of our fantastic clients on a Senior Tax Accountant position, paying $70,000 - $80,000 depending on experience with the opportunity to learn a ton in a fast-paced environment.  Our client is targeting a sharp candidate who is eager to learn, wants to grow their career, and will value having a fantastic mentor.

This Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and filing the State and Federal Income Tax Returns, assisting with preparation of ASC 740 quarterly and annual U.S. tax provision, preparing monthly and quarterly sales & use tax returns, ensuring the company complies with estimated tax payments, and staying current on tax laws and regulations.  Other key responsibilities will include the ability to work independently in a deadline driven environment, assisting with Income Tax Audits, maintaining depreciation schedules, and finding ways to streamline processes.  It is important that this Senior Tax Accountant can take on special projects, has a can-do attitude, and enjoys being challenged, in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:

• 3 - 5 years of Public and/or Corporate Tax Accounting experience
• Knowledge of ASC 740
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to research complex tax issues
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
