Create, modify and maintain programs for machines, robotics, 3rd party integration, and complete systems.
Assist Checkout Technicians with factory testing.
Create documentation to share knowledge with other Controls Engineers as well as Checkout and Service Technicians.
Review and troubleshoot customer field issues and recommend viable solutions for quick resolution.
Work on projects to improve speed, capacity, reliability, functionality, and ease of operation.
Assist Service Department in troubleshooting machines, either in the field via telephone or on-site at the customer’s facility.
Ensure that programs follow a standardized and structured format and notation for ease of understanding.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or two-year Degree in Engineering or Robotics (or equivalent) with 4 years of related experience in the field of automation and robotics.
Experience and/or familiarity with motion control, servo controls, HMI, and packaging equipment.
Understanding of machine motion & terminology.
AB, Fanuc PLC experience preferred.
Minimum of one year AutoCAD experience required.
