NOTE: This is an hourly/wage (P-14) position and Wage employees are limited to working a maximum of 1500 hours in a 365-day period. This position averages no more than 29 hours a week. Wage positions carry no benefits.

Content Migration Specialist is responsible for coordinating, managing, and assisting each VDSS division/program with content migration from the existing public website to the agency’s new content migration system, which will replace the current site’s infrastructure and operations. The position will play a critical role in the coordination, management and strategic implementation of this enterprise project. The role will involve understanding the agency’s content needs and priorities to ensure an enhanced customer-focused digital experience for all stakeholders.

Content Migration Specialist will work closely with content editors, subject matters experts (SMEs) and other critical staff to ensure the project is carried out efficiently, within designated timelines and consistent with the agency’s brand and accessibility guidelines. This position provides a hybrid work experience (remote and in-office collaboration).

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience coordinating, managing and assisting content curators in developing and shaping existing web content which adheres to agency style guides and voice.
• Experience in the design, implementation and maintenance process of an organization’s public website, intranet and content management systems (CMS).
• Considerable experience leading content strategy deliverables that demonstrate a customer-centric, collaborative and data-driven approach.
• Proven experience integrating two-way engagement strategies and developing written communications to support awareness, guidance and training needs of content migration team members.
• Demonstrated success in supporting improvements to user experience, design and functionality.

KSA’s and/or Competencies required to successfully perform the work

• Strong project management, attention to detail, problem-solving, time and task management and communication skills.
• Understanding of web content strategy, Section 508 accessibility
• Ability to work both independently and in a group environment.
• Ability to convey complex ideas in simple language.
• Proficiency in M365 with an emphasis on MS Teams and Project
• Ability to work with both technical and non-technical staff.
• Excellent meeting management, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge with Section 508 and industry standard guidelines related to the availability and accessibility of web content.
• Ability to work 29 hours per week.
