Construction Superintendent

Job Title: Superintendent

We are seeking a site superintendent to manage the day to day work for construction and remodel of a high end
resort located in Napa Valley. This individual needs to be a team player, strong work ethic, and technologically skilled
with today’s construction software and hardware. This individual will manage the total onsite construction effort to
ensure the project is built in accordance with the established design, budget and schedule. This highly visible role
also Includes interfacing with client and AE representatives, as well as other contractors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Efficiently communicate and direct subcontractors, support staff, building and / or area personnel.
 Provide input to the project team regarding subs, vendors, and suppliers for the project and make
recommendations.
 Become familiar with the project construction documents, perform takeoffs and layouts as required.
 Create and update the overall project schedule and 3 week look ahead schedule
 Coordinate and schedule all necessary trades and vendors in accordance with the project schedule.
 Understand, communicate and implement company policies and procedures; ensure consistency, safety
and quality control.
 Manage the inspection service process with local and county municipalities.
 Keep a daily log of all activity on the job site and keep the project manager informed.
 Communicate unforeseen conditions and changes to the Project Manager that may affect the schedule,
quality and cost of the project.
 Understand, adhere, and enforce OSHA requirements and Centric’s safety policies, including assuring all
employees and subcontractors are adhering to OSHA safety requirements on all projects.
 Provides advice to Project Managers regarding constructability, cost of construction, and material selections
on construction projects.
 Assist in developing goals and procedures to ensure training, motivation and achievement of goals by field
personnel.
 Monitors quality assurance program throughout the course of the job.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
High School diploma; a degree or certification in construction is a plus.
10 years’ experience in the construction industry. Focus on commercial and/or hospitality preferred
General knowledge of building codes and permit regulations
Excellent communication skills
Ability to read plans and create schedules
Proficiency with MS Office with emphasis on MS Project and Excel.
Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management program.
