Research Activities:
- Assist in recruiting subjects and scheduling data collections
- Collect data via surveys, interviews, observations or other methods according to established research protocol
- Perform data entry
- Clean and process data
- Assist with summaries on research and results
- Prepare/create materials for community events and other study activities
- Attend community events, develop and distribute study-related communications (brochures, newsletters, etc.) and other community gatherings and activities
- Direct engagement and follow-up efforts to recruit participants
- Field/answer, monitor, investigate, track and direct communications (e.g., calls and e-mails) regarding the study
Qualifications:
- Willing to actively engage in the community with sense of confidence and competence
- Must have well-developed communication skills (both oral and written) and be able to work effectively in teams
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to think critically, problem solve, continually learn, and provide thoughtful insight
- Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent software
- Must be punctual; regular attendance is required
- Must possess a valid driver's license and access to transportation; willing to travel to sites in Atlanta and Columbus, GA

· Experience working with fathers/men
Other Information: This position is part-time (20-30 hours/week). Night and weekend availability, as needed, for events. This is a contractor position, invoices for hours worked must be submitted for payment. This position is time-limited (~16 months) based on soft money funding, with renewal contingent upon available funds.
Company Description:The Research Assistant will work under the supervision of Dr. Latrice Rollins, the Principal Investigator of the Morehouse School of Medicine Tx Pilot Project Program grant, Assessing the Need for a Father-Friendly Linkage and Referral Network. Dr. Rollins, in partnership with the Strong Fathers, Strong Families Georgia Coalition will study the “father-friendliness” of maternal and child health agencies/programs and the needs of new and expectant fathers. The Assistant will perform tasks related to study implementation.
