The CNC Operator, EDM sets up, operates and maintains CNC Wire and Sinker EDM equipment with minimal to no supervision. The CNC Operator, EDM reports to the Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations Leadership in Orchid Bridgeport.

• Operate machinery as required
• Verify part quantity to the job traveler
• Make machine adjustments as required to maintain print specifications
• Perform operator maintenance on machines as required
• Make offsets and adjustments as needed
• May create or adjust programs to meet customer prints or specifications
• Perform inspection of parts as needed using hand gages and comparators
• Assist and train others as needed
• Perform weekly housekeeping per 6S schedule
• Operate multiple machines at one time
• Perform other duties as required or directed by the Department Supervisor or Lead

• Previous EDM experience preferred

• Basic machining knowledge preferred
• Must be able to read blueprints & interpret GD&T
• Ability to use hand measuring tools ( ex. Micrometer, calipers, etc.)
• Must be able to operate the machine at the level required for the area. To be certified to a certain level, all skills indicated within that level must be trained, then evaluated by an authorized evaluator and certified complete, unless otherwise noted.

• High school diploma or equivalent
