Job Summary:

The Client Relationship Manager leads by example with proven and effective customer service, communication, and relationship management skills to ensure an exceptional level of service to our clients. This position leads by example in providing exceptional account management and marketing operations support to the Account management team, including leadership, and professionally handles client interactions by phone or in person.

The Client Relationship Manager is empowered to provide subject matter expertise, coaching, and training to the account management team. This position also supports the delivery on a variety of routine daily tasks, such as, but not limited to, reviewing reports, preparing presentations / ideas, and participating in department specific projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):

  • Establishing a strong sales/account management relationship with vendors and clients
  • Build a trusting and long term relationship with all of the Agency clients
  • Attend weekly meetings with clients via Zoom or in-person meetings
  • Support account coordinators with their client calls and in-person meetings
  • Attend social or networking functions to support client or agency events
  • Take a very proactive approach in problem solving (process, accounts and marketing)
  • Act as point of contact for complaints and address / solve them
  • Assist the team in creating marketing plans to address clients’ business needs
  • Advise clients on creating profitable processes and marketing ideas
  • Schedule regular meetings with customers to ensure they are satisfied (in-person)
  • Help sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and products
  • Create and develop processes to improve agency / client long term relationship (retention)
  • Train / oversee account manager and coordinators on how to develop their "social maturity" and "social intelligence"
  • Retain a 95% client retention within the agency 
  • Lead my example and manage a handful of clients also on your own
  • Stay knowledgeable and abreast of project management and marketing trends

Required Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor's degree required in a in a business-related field such as marketing or management
  • An in-depth understanding of business marketing and sales
  • 8+ years of experience in a consultative, client-facing or account manager leadership role
  • 5+ years experience managing accounts - ranging from sales, new sales, programs, and existing annuity business
  • 5+ years experience as a manager / supervisor
  • Exemplary personal skills and a personable demeanor, as well as a deep understanding of mutual goals and individual issues
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Strong presentation and problem-solving skills

Employee Status : Full Time Employee

Shift : Day Job

Travel : 15-20% on some months
