Home Every Night - CDL Drivers Needed

Do you have a CDL license and want to be home every night and weekends? Then come join our 106+ year young company - and be home every night!

Our drivers load/unload trucks of lumber, plywood, doors, windows and other related building materials using appropriate delivery equipment including but not limited to tractor trailer and flatbed trucks equipped with forklifts, delivering to new and existing construction sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be willing to adhere to all Haven Building Products’ safety policies and procedures.
• Receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery and/or pick up of goods.
• Maintains DOT travel logs according to federal and state regulations.
• Provides quality service to customers using effective communication skills.
• Performs DOT required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Ensures safety of vehicle; reports all mechanical problems promptly to appropriate personnel as required.
• Inspects loaded truck for accuracy of order, compliance with weight restrictions, and proper securing of load.
• Lumber experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. on a daily basis.
• Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time, climb atop a flatbed, load, secure and unload product.
• Must be willing and able to work in outdoor weather conditions year round.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Self-starter, pro-active, takes initiative.
• Must have current valid CDL Class A driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a DOT required medical examination and drug screen.
• Must have basic math and analytical skills.
• Minimum of 1 year experience driving a commercial motor vehicle or proof of completion from an approved commercial driving school.
• Forklift experience required.
• Ability to read, speak and write the English language.
