This is our CADET application. You must be 15, 16, or 17 years and in high school to apply.
Cadets have a unique opportunity to provide direct, hands-on clinical care to patients requesting medical assistance. In addition to this, cadets are provided with an unparalleled learning experience alongside other area high school students.
In the mid 1950s, Newton Memorial Hospital administration approached a bright group of civic leaders to replace the over-burdened hospital ambulance service.
Today, the Newton First Aid Squad is requested to nearly 2,300 medical emergencies annually. We are proud to not only be Sussex County's busiest, fastest, and most progressive EMS agency but also the 2018 NJ Outstanding EMS Agency!
