JOB DESCRIPTION
Description:
What You Will Do:
The CAD Technician /REVIT Operator is responsible for working with the Application Engineers to design building systems for low voltage such as Fire Alarm, Security, HVAC and Building Controls.
How You Will Do It:
Responsible for working with the Application Specialists to design building systems Using AutoCAD or REVIT to prepare project submittal drawings that include device placement plans, riser diagrams, electrical interconnection drawings, device circuit wiring, control cabinet layouts, voltage drop calculations, and battery calculations
Maintain project drawing files, and associated records and documentation in an orderly condition
Operate and maintain CAD equipment, plotter, and printers
What We Look For:
Required:
High school or equivalent education required.
Vocational certificate and/or diploma
Minimum Experience: 1-3 years in CAD drafting and REVIT
Excellent computer skills including knowledge of AutoCAD (version 2014 or higher), MS Word, MS Excel PowerPoint, and MS Outlook
Proficient in reading and understanding construction drawings
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good organizational skills with attention to detail
Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers
Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage a large and diverse number of projects with professionalism, cooperation and persistence
Preferred:
Electrical or mechanical background, not electronic board layouts
PAYABLE TERMS
Recruiters receive contract commission payments once per month. Payment is processed after work for each contractor is verified at the end of the month. The commission is paid out on the first pay period of the following month. Depending on when your candidate starts, the first payment may take 4 to 6 weeks to receive.
