Job Description:

Participates in NAVSUP business process change discussions relevant to the Navy Electronic Procurement System (ePS).  The BSA will participate in discussions about improving the NAVSUP Weapon System Support’s supply system processes in ERP identifying those processes must be interoperable with ePS and the ITIMP replacement interface.  Support entails the inclusion of functional assistance in understanding the differences between the legacy contract writing environment and the new ePS, helps users reconcile their existing roles with the roles that are inherent to ePS, and generally acts as a resource for understanding the new system. The BSA helps to gather information about specific configurations needed to adapt ePS to the HCA environment, and help translate that information into specific tasking for the Team CGI staff making those configurations, makes configuration changes themselves, and/or teaches HCA staff how to make those changes when appropriate.

Applicants with a technical understanding of Navy Contracting Process will be given a distinct advantage in the hiring process if they can demonstrate previous participation in:

  • Integrated Product Team, Technical Interchange Meetings, and Working Groups;
  • Participation in Business Process Mapping relevant to contract writing systems;
  • Providing inputs to contracting process streamlining/improvement strategies;
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on technical documentation relevant to the contracting process;
  • Understanding of roles and responsibilities in the contracting process
  • Coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure alignment of schedules and priorities to achieve Program objectives;

Qualifications

Required Skills:  At least 2 years of related experience in Government acquisition (contracting preferred); Able to work well individually and as part of a team; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

 

Desired Skills: Experience working in a team environment and effectively completing assigned workload; Experience with experience with contracting experience in DoD/Federal; Strong communications skills; ability to effectively interact with senior Government personnel; DAWIA/FAC-C level II in Contracting; Experience drafting contract administration policy and procedures.

 

Location: The place of performance will be at primarily at Government facilities the Washington Navy yard, DC, Contractor facility, Naval Support Facility Mechanicsburg, PA and mutually agreed upon locations.  

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience.

 

Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance within 12 months of onboarding.
