Join the 2020 summer staff at Tuscarora Lodge and Canoe Outfitters, a Boundary Waters canoe outfitters, located 47 miles outside of Grand Marais, MN. Each summer, we invite a crew of 5-8 staff members to assist our guests as they start and end their canoe trips; to maintain Tuscarora’s gear, grounds, and facilities; and to continue Tuscarora’s tradition of cleanliness, friendliness, and excellent customer service.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Tuscarora crew members participate in all facets of the business: from assisting and transporting guests to their Boundary Waters/Quetico entry points, scrubbing canoes and camping gear, preparing and serving French toast breakfast, cleaning Tuscarora facilities (including six housekeeping cabins), and even preparing lunch for their fellow crew members from time to time. Assignments vary from day to day and we strive to maintain a fun, fast-paced work environment where teamwork is key.

PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT
Our season runs from May 10 – October 15. Most of our employees start work in late May or early June and work through mid/late August. We happily work around your school schedule, but ask that you commit to your dates carefully, as we fill our positions based on applicants’ availability.
Tuscarora Lodge & Canoe Outfitters is a full service Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness outfitter that has been offering the best in complete and partial canoe country packages. We offer a wide range of canoes and quality gear as well as private bunkhouses, hot breakfast, and showers. Located on the quiet east end of the Boundary Waters, we service many entry points along the Gunflint Trail. We also service the southeastern entry points into Quetico Provincial Park from our private tow dock on Saganaga Lake. As Round Lake’s only private property, we provide a peaceful setting for guests in our six lakeside housekeeping cabins and have direct access to the BWCA and hiking trails.
