Blinds and Drapery Installer

Job Description

Our commercial window coverings business is currently looking to hire installers preferably with construction or carpenter skills. As a window covering installer, your responsibility will be to install commercial draperies, roller shades and unique window treatments in schools, businesses, hotels, churches, hospitals and more. A good portion of our installations are done in an active construction zone for new buildings. Thus, construction experience would be helpful.
 

*This is a specialized industry and therefore we will provide training for this job.
 

The ideal applicant will possess the following qualities:

• Good problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge and experience with hand-held tools
• A sense of urgency with good time management skills
• A professional demeanor and
• An open mind with a desire to learn.
• Common sense and thinking ahead.
• Physical ability to move up and down ladders & stairs while carrying heavy loads (≥ 50lbs)

Experience in construction or "Handy Man" or carpentry skills will be welcomed.

We are looking for individuals who are self-driven, motivated and work well on their own as well as with others. Must be able to take ownership of your installation jobs and see them through to the end.
 

Our Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license.
• Be able to travel.
• Pass a drug test.
• No smoking in company vehicles, on company property or inside company project sites. Due to the nature of our textile industry, we cannot allow smoke or vaping fumes to be absorbed into the fabrics.
• Must have a working drill. Other tools can be provided by the company until you can purchase your own set, if you do not already own them. Industry specialty items will be provided by the company.

Pay is based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
