Summary:

 

Are you a finance professional with a passion for precision and a knack for fiscal responsibility? Our company is seeking a dedicated Operations Controller to play a pivotal role in coordinating financial strength and cost control for our assigned Plants. As an Operations Controller, you will oversee accounting operations, create financial reports, and conduct analyses that are essential for determining financial status and supporting the strategic planning of our plants.

 

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

 

Manage Accounting and Finance Functions: Oversee all accounting and finance functions, including cost accounting, accounts payable, budgeting, forecasts, cash management, financial reporting, and all other non-routine accounting activities.

 

Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and other financial records. Produce expected reports for Regional and Global leadership on a monthly and quarterly basis.

 

Deviation Monitoring: Regularly check for deviations from forecasts, identify reasons, and propose actions and countermeasures to minimize or eliminate any impact.

 

Financial Reporting and Analysis: Take responsibility for month, quarter, and year-end financial reporting and analysis.

 

Internal Controls: Establish internal control processes necessary to manage and grow the business effectively.

 

Standardize Data Collection: Standardize the collection of revenue and cost data related to departments, functions, and channels. Produce and share reports with comments and suggestions.

 

Cash Flow Management: Proactively manage cash flow in a leveraged environment.

 

Audit and Compliance: Coordinate external and internal audit functions and ensure compliance with internal and legal regulations.

 

Budget Management: Manage the annual budget process.

 

Stakeholder Communication: Interface with external stakeholders such as financial institutions, auditors, consultants, etc.

 

 

Team Development: Develop and coach direct reports.

 

Communication: Drive effective internal and external communication interactions with financial stakeholders.

 

 

Education and Experience:

 

 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Required)

 

 

3-5 years Industrial Controlling Experience in a manufacturing environment (Required)

 

 

Knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, lean principles, and production management systems (Required)

 

 

ERP experience (SAP or QAD) and accounting software, ideally Stravis (Required)

 

 

3-5 years’ experience with an international company (Preferred)

 

 

JSOX (SOX), knowledge of IFRS (Preferred)

While performing the duties of this job within the manufacturing areas of the facility, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and heat. The noise level outside the office environment is loud and requires hearing protection at all times. Steel toe safety shoes and safety glasses are required in the manufacturing area.
