The Talent Acquisition team creates and drives strategies to source, attract, select and secure industry leading talent for our rapidly growing organization. We are currently seeking an experienced Associate Director, Talent Acquisition to lead our clients' efforts for their Philadelphia location to develop & lead strategies to acquire talent into our organization. This position will lead the PHL Talent Acquisition team, partner with site Management, work closely within the US Talent Acquisition Team and collaborate with Human Resources on compensation, policies & procedures, and site alignment with strategy & growth.
 

  • Lead, build, develop and motivate a team of talented and high performing Talent Acquisition individuals with various degrees of experience
  • Create strategies and oversee the execution of tactics to source and secure high-quality talent in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Create, analyze and present reporting against critical Talent Acquisition metrics to enable informed and effective planning and decision making within the business.
  • Promote a culture of creativity and accountability within the talent acquisition team to enhance relationships with hiring managers by providing consultative advice and delivering quality results.
  • Lead efforts in developing brand in the Philadelphia ecosystem (Cellacon Valley, PIDC, PA LifeSciences).
  • Leverage & enhance technology, tools, and internal and external best practices to optimize processes and performance.
  • Develop and lead new programs and processes in conjunction with PHL HR, site leadership and the other business units related to hiring and selection strategies based firmly in disciplined analysis of talent acquisition challenges and potential solutions.
  • Recruit on mid & high level position's for the Philadelphia site; may assist with entry level when there is an increase in openings.
  • Establish a deep understanding of our businesses
  • Establish relationships with colleagues and key groups in the science industry & PHL area
  • May attend/participate/organize internal and external job fairs
  • May attend conferences
  • Develop relationships with business and functional leaders to become their trusted partner.
  • Partner with internal Human Resources regarding site support, process improvements, initiatives & job offers
  • Contribute to the overall operations and to the achievement of departmental goals
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating updated organizational information, job expectations & supporting their work
  • Plans, monitors, and appraises direct reports including performance competencies, goals & job results
  • Coaches, counsels, and conducts disciplinary actions
  • Develops, coordinates, and follows organizational systems, policies, procedures, and follows labor and capacity standards
  • Perform job specific tasks in compliance with applicable Regulations, International Standards, Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • May be required to assist in other departments
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Required and/or Masters Degree Preferred
  • 8 + years recruiting experience and min 5 years managing people with a minimum of 5+ years Life Science (Pharma/Biotech) recruitment required
  • BS/BA in Science related field preferred; or combination of relevant Experience & Education
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise using ATS systems is required - preferably expertise in iCIMS
  • Experience recruiting in a CRO/CMO or Lab environment preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proven ability with various sourcing strategies including but not limited to social networking, industry association, military, campus relations, etc.
  • Strong partnership skills with the ability to influence candidates, site leadership, sales leadership and hiring managers
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships
  • Ability to provide accurate and actionable feedback and coaching to direct reports and hiring managers
  • Proactive, innovative and problem-solving skills with the ability to focus on managing change
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, dynamic corporate environment
  • Must have experience with sourcing in the Life Science industry
  • Strong communication & collaboration skills
