Duties:
Professional work assisting with developing, coordinating, planning, implementing, supervising, instructing and evaluating various County-Wide and Community-based programs for youth and teens, year round including summer.
Responsible for transporting program participants. Formulates new programs, meets with the public, parents, groups, schools and organizations to provide information and further public relations with the County.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of three (3) years of experience organizing and supervising recreational activities.
Necessary Special Requirements: Must pass level II background check prior to start. Must possess current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Certifications (must attach copies of certifications to application) OR obtain within six (6) months of hire.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE: Working with indoor/outdoor recreational activities or leisure/athletic programs (or related volunteer experience); working with culturally diverse youth, teens and adults (must specify on application). Bilingual (Spanish/English and/or Creole/English). Also desirable: Current FL Class B or C CDL with Air Brakes and Passenger Endorsements.
