Asphalt Plant Groundsman
Eureka Stone Quarry, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated reliable individual to fill the position opening of Asphalt Plant Laborer.
Summary/Objective:
The candidate will be responsible for all ground operations, such as greasing equipment, general laboring, equipment operation, and routine maintenance in and around our Asphalt Plants.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Perform minor servicing and maintenance on plant equipment as needed, using ladders to access platforms, and landings;
Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as bob cat, skid steer, man lift, water truck, and haul truck. Report any problems to your manager;
When working with co-workers, constant eye contact will be maintained when backing, communicating using hand signals or other movements;
Follow directions of Foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite;
Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies;
Assists the plant foreman with the daily operations and upkeep of the plant;
Ability to follow detailed instructions;
Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly;
Performs manual tasks in a safe manner, such as shoveling, sweeping, and jackhammer operation;
Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times;
Willing to travel and work away from home when required;
Report to work at the designated start time;
