Android Engineer

We have partnered with a large financial services company in the New York, NY area to provide them with an Android Engineer.

Responsibilities of the Android Engineer:

• You’ll build engaging, performant, and powerful functionality on top of our Android app. You will:
• Build new features using a modern Android development stack including Kotlin
• Collaborate with the team to port old React Native features into native Android code
• Leverage our Graphql and WebSocket APIs to provide a seamless user experience
• (Optional): Contribute to our React site, our node backend, or our infrastructure

Requirements of the Android Engineer:

• Fluent in Kotlin and/or Java
• You have at least a year in industry
• At least a year of experience as an Android engineer
• You prize reliability, simplicity, performance, and robustness in building out systems
• Communicate clearly and listen well
• Self-starter and comfortable taking on a variety of roles
• Preferably familiar with React Native

Nice to have skills/experience:

• Graphql
• Node
• Websockets
• React
