LINQM is looking to help a client with a part time position. 20-25 hours per week. 

We are targeting a college student in their 3rd or 4th year that is tech savvy to help the legal department with their systems. Manager is willing to work with this individual's school schedule and accommodate their timing needs. Individual must be very self motivated, highly professional as they will be working with various people in the legal department, and be willing to learn about the technology systems the legal department uses. This person does not have to have many years of experience, but must be very smart and able to learn quickly. 

 

Legal Operations is charged with improving and maintaining the Legal team's internal processes, systems and technology tools. Our responsibilities include managing legal spend and increasing overall operational effectiveness by implementing new technologies and processes. With an eye to process improvement and freeing up attorney time, you will identify, implement, and maintain innovative processes and systems to improve the efficiency and quality of the Legal Department’s technology. Reporting to the Associate Manager (AM) of Legal Operations, you will collaborate closely with the rest of the Legal Operations team and our partners in IT and Finance. You are entrepreneurial, proactive, and highly organized, with a background in IT. 

     

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in efforts to support current processes, identify new processes, technology system problem resolution.
  • The Legal System Specialist must have the ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience, and the ability to understand and interpret business requirements.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Legal technology and business processes.  Legal systems involved with this position include software platforms for matter management, document archival, eDiscovery, intellectual property and trademark management, etc.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues. Provide recommendations and resolution options to stakeholders
  • Day to day legal support, including. effective staff training and supporting knowledge transfer for all legal software systems and business process automation and optimization
  • Assist AM in collecting and reporting on key performance indicators and metrics to ascertain legal technology performance
  • Perform project status reporting, both at a high level and detailed

Education:

May be pursing Bachelors degree in their 3rd or 4th year
