Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities for this Position:
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for an Advanced Schedule/Cost Analyst (PPM). The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
- This position is responsible for providing contract/program cost/schedule management and analysis related to established or new development programs for major component or small system, or production or logistics programs
- Single or multiple contracts typically valued up to $20M per year
- The schedule/cost analyst will develop the program schedule baselines within the contract parameters in conjunction with the program teams
- The schedule/cost analyst will analyze program performance (historical and predictive), and monitor the contract/program Estimate at Complete and schedule completion date, and make recommendations to program manager and program leads
- Develops the time-phased budget in conjunction with program team to meet all contract and program objectives
- Collects and updates full program performance data, prepares and analyzes historical and predictive measures, and reviews results and recommendations with program manager and program leads
- Integrates subcontractor schedule/cost data and/or material data into program data
- Ensures program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated and resolves network logic conflicts
- Applies advanced schedule/cost techniques and analysis (health and quality checks, resource loading, risk analysis)
- Analyzes critical path and driving paths to identify and manage schedule/cost risk
- Prepares timely, accurate program review documents
- Presents documents to appropriate audience
- Prepares timely, accurate customer required documents and reviews with program manager and department manager
- Coordinates contract/program Estimate At Complete (EAC), risk and opportunity, and Management Reserve data with Finance organization as input into business financial commitments
- Updates program time-phased schedules and associated documents to ensure latest contract modifications and related requirements are incorporated
- Applies key areas of the Program Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) to develop executable processes for supported programs and lead program teams in their implementation
- Defines requirements to solve common business problems
- Interfaces with multiple IPT leads and PMs primarily at a single location
- Fosters an environment of trust and teamwork: builds collaborative relationships, internally and externally
- Communicates professionally and effectively with employees and customers
- Supports other programs with expertise during critical time frames
- Works on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

- Proficient with Microsoft Office, to include Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management methodologies is required

- Experience with proposal activities (WBS Development, IMP/IMS development) is desired
- The analyst is an individual contributor working with minimal oversight
- Contact with internal Program Management, Finance, Contracts, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing and external customers and vendors
