Adjunct Faculty, Philosophy

Miami Dade College, Wolfson Campus is now accepting applications for Adjunct Faculty, Philosophy. Adjunct faculty will provide instruction and service in support of college policies and procedures, along with participation in professional development opportunities. This position is primarily for on-campus, in-person courses that are taught on different days.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teaches lecture and laboratory sections.
• Evaluates and advises students.
• Participates in departmental and College affairs.
• Develops curricula.
• Recruits’ students.
• Serves on committees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s degree in philosophy from a regionally accredited institution or a master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in Philosophy.
• All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
• Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to work well with students and colleagues in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments.
