General Nature of Work
The Accreditation and Certification Manager will have oversight on the CALEA Accreditation and the State Certification program for the City of Kennesaw. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, tactical and strategic. This role requires an understanding of CALEA Accreditation and State Certification in a law enforcement capacity. This position will have the responsibility to determine the best method of program processes and the exercise appropriate judgment in establishing priorities and resolving complex matters. This position will involve close communication and go-between with internal and external uniformed law enforcement members, and will need to understand how to direct activities, schedules deliverable assignments to those members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Police Science, Criminal Justice, or Public Administration or equivalent from an accredited college or university with a minimum of one year related experience.

Physical Requirements: Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental Factors: Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
