Job Description:

Basic Function:

Generates leads, qualifies potential customers & convinces client to purchase moving services from Cal Bennetts Office Furnishings, Planning & Design.
This position is responsible for sales volume, margin percentage & new business goals on a monthly, quarterly & yearly basis.

Specific Responsiblities & Duties:

Lead Generation

1. Networks extensively for leads (business groups, real estate brokers, A&D community, contractors & industry organizations)

2. Researches for leads through business journals, newspapers, industry publications & internet

3. Manages clients in existing book of business in addition to cold calling potential clients in person or by telephone

Selling & Sale Implementation

1. Makes persuasive presentations to customers on dealership's products & services relating to our office furniture division-in person, through written/graphic documentation & electronic means

2.. Develops detailed, accurate & professional looking proposals through own effort & and presents these to the customer in a timely manner

3. Provides responsible close of sale by obtaining signed sales proposals, client purchase orders & deposits as required

4. Responsible for setting up the sale so that it can be efficiently managed & administered by dealership operations & personnel

5. Stays involved throughout sale implementation process to ensure that any bottlenecks or changes in scope are identified and resolved, and that both customer & dealership are satisfied

Customer/Account Interfaces

1. Is available, responsive & timely to customer inquiries, requests for information and/or quotations, problem resolution, etc.

2. Provides frequent & regular follow-up contact with customer regarding after sale services & information, including customer satisfaction

3. Conducts a professional, cooperative interface with the customer, the customer's employees & the customer's third party consultants/subcontractors

4. Ensures the customer gets frequent & regular reports on project progress & overall customer activity status

Goals & Performance

1. Meets monthly, quarterly & yearly sales, margin & new business goals as set by the dealership & sales manager

2. Provides timely reports on sales forecasts & new leads as required

Experience, Education & Skills Required

1. Interpersonal & communication skills to interact effectively with a wide range of people both within & outside the company

2. Strong oral & written communication skills

3. Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity & sound judgement in business transactions, & to providing of the highest level of customer satisfaction

4. Experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably in the contract furniture and/or commercial moving industry

5. Has the initiative to generate leads & close sales, often not always working under close supervision
