DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:
 

The Paid Search team is responsible for all of the company’s search marketing efforts on Google, Bing, Yahoo, and other third tier networks.
 

POSITION SUMMARY:
 

The Account Manager, Paid Search will be responsible for maintaining our international search accounts and helping to expand and build out our product offerings worldwide.  
 

REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

The Account Manager, Paid Search will manage search engine marketing and paid search, campaign design, execution, strategy, and analysis, specifically for our international products. Campaigns will be small to large-scale in size and will involve high data collection and analysis proficiency. 

Google AdWords certification is a must and the candidate should have experience and knowledge in additional digital marketing technologies including Bing Ads, Yahoo!, Google Analytics, Excel and other key reporting tools.

The ideal Account Manager, Paid Search has experience managing resources that create and optimize SEM campaigns, is autonomous, efficient, detail oriented, passionate, proactive, innovative, and has an entrepreneurial spirit!

The candidate will be expected to continue to grow and develop the current BOLD Paid Search / SEM function for our international products. This includes innovating our paid search practices and growing the revenue from these channels.

The person in this role will be a proactive and contributing member of the Paid Search strategy, execution, and growth for BOLD. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

 

WHAT WE NEED: 
 

  • A seasoned Paid Search professional that has grown a paid search practice within an organization (or agency). Strong knowledge of, and relationships with, key search engines and search technology providers.
  • A great colleague that works closely with other experts within core digital channels including social media, SEO, email marketing, affiliate marketing and display media.
  • The ability to help lead the overall paid search campaign lifecycle including campaign management, analytics, optimization, and reporting.
  • Understand the connections between Marketing, Product, and Payment and be able to suggest improvements up funnel necessary for SEM success. 
  • Be familiar with complex, multi-brand Paid marketing campaigns and how other marketing channels can contribute to success. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
 

  • Work closely with the paid search team as well as product marketing, creative and reporting/analytics teams to ensure campaign execution is strategically aligned, and business needs are met.
  • Develop, implement and manage Paid Search campaigns for Google, Yahoo! & Bing.
  • Launch new products and campaigns as well as executing time-sensitive promotions and content.
  • Execute paid tests with the aid of internal optimization specialists. 
  • Report, analyze, and provide actionable insights for executive management and internal teams.

 

 HOW YOU’LL BE MEASURED:
 

  • On your ability to ideate and deliver innovative paid search strategies and tactics against the plan (with a measurable ROI).
  • The number of opportunities in the marketplace you identify that expand (or strengthen) our position, revenue and/or profitability.
  • How well you “own” and conduct market/competitor research that can be leveraged in current and future strategic endeavors.
  • End-to-end campaign management (planning, launch, ad testing, experience with 3rd party bid management tools)
  • Execution against budget/plan that includes aggressive revenue growth targets.
  • Demonstrated an understanding of how to drive KPI’s (ROAS, CPI, CTR, CVR, CPA, etc.) and optimize to different business goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required (mathematics, applied mathematics or marketing).
  • Minimum of 2 years in roles of increasing responsibility in paid search capacity either agency or client side.
  • Strong familiarity with paid search campaigns, strategies, and tactics.
  • Self-starter, efficient time management, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in managing numbers.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Google AdWords certified.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage workload in a demanding, high-energy, collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Superior communication skills (to express your passion/enthusiasm and otherwise share knowledge).
  • Cross-channel management: Paid Search, Video, Display in concert with SEO, Email.
  • Ad copy & landing page optimization.
