.NET Software Developer (POS Application System Support)

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is required; majors in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

• 3-5 years of work experience in an IT support function

• Willingness to travel and/or work weekends with short notice; Support during non-business hours as needed.

• Capable of creating applications from the ground up as well as modifying existing applications.

• Excellent understanding of SQL databases and query best practices. Including triggers, stored procedures and reporting using SSRS

• Extensive relational database and operating systems experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

• Extensive programming with Microsoft .Net, particularly C#, ASP.Net, and VB.Net.

• Extensive knowledge of software version control, preferably TFS.
 

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

• Experience supporting a large POS application (i.e. OmniTicket – Overview Ticketing System, Gateway – Galaxy Ticket System, or Omnico – Clarity)

• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.

• Knowledge of industry best practices around release management.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams

• Capable of working in a fast paced environment.

• Hospitality industry experience preferred.

• Results oriented with a history of problem resolution, prevention, and solutioning.

• Effectively handle sensitive and confidential data.
